About Me

Claire: United Kingdom; I have been cross stitching since early 2004 after an operation. I bought a DMC Country Companions kit called Grandfather clock a few years before 2004. I never got the time or the courage to start it until after my operation when i got bored sitting about doing nothing. Now i have a few finished pieces under my belt or more correctly, on our walls. Since the beginning of 2011 my stitching took a giant step. I am now working on a few (HAED)Heaven And Earth Designs which you can see on my main blog page. Heaven knows when i'll get them finished but whatever time and effort i put in to them, it will be worth it. I love stitching on evenweave and using DMC threads. I rarely have a day where i don't do any stitching. Cross stitching keeps me sane and it stops me from getting bored and going round the bend. Ha ha! I have recently started hand dyeing my own fabrics for my cross stitch projects. I love hand dyed fabric but with being on benefit because of being disabled money is limited so hand dyeing my own fabric works out really well. Feel free to have a good look around my blog.
